I haven't even played Gone Home (so i'm not commenting on the quality of the title, but rather the nature of it), but do you think EA would sink a couple million buckaroos in to that shit? I kinda doubt it. No, smaller games and indies are probably gonna be the ones to supply the more "mature" content for the foreseeable future (and by mature i don't mean tits and gore). At least not enough that a AAA publisher is gonna be willing to stick it's neck out for such a project anyway. I just don't think there's a lot of money to be made off of games that try to appeal to the demographics that appreciate solid and well thought out stories.
